FAQ

Questions about batteries & electrical

+1 403-571-2886
How long does a car battery last in Calgary?

Typically three to five years. Extreme cold and short trips shorten that. If yours is over four years old, have it tested before winter.

Do I need a block heater?

Many local drivers plug in when it is colder than about −15 °C. It eases cold starts and reduces engine wear.

Why does my battery keep dying?

Common causes are a parasitic drain, a failing alternator, corroded connections or short trips. We test each one in turn.
